Is thought sin?...

In our bible study we had a long discussion regarding thought being sin. It was mentioned by a member that if you think something it is as bad as doing it. Your thought is a sin. I asked for a deeper explanation, you mean if a pretty lady walks by and someone glances over at her and has a one second thought about her before rebutting the thought, you mean this is as bad as the actual act of adultery? there are times that I think someone can take a statement in the bible and make it too literal. Let me explain, while I agree thought can be sin, I don’t think every bad...

Christian numbers down in America...

A recent poll of the American people showed that Americans with “no religion” is on the rise in America and Christianity is down from 86% in 1990 to 76% in 2008. But are these numbers a true reflection of Christianity in America? If 76% of Americans are Christians, then please tell me why the moral fabric of our society has (and continues to) decline? Is it that many people claim to be Christian, yet do not live a Christian life? And if this is the case, are they truly Christians? In my opinion that number of 76% is probably much lower. It only takes a few...
